Do Not Impeach the Duly-Elected Judge Protasiewicz

The recent threat to impeach Supreme Court Justice Janet Protasiewicz is deeply concerning and blatantly disregards democracy in Wisconsin. Following her significant statewide electoral victory, this political maneuver is a clear attempt to undermine the democratic process. The demand for her recusal from a case concerning the constitutionality of the state’s legislative districts is a ploy to preserve gerrymandered and undemocratic maps. It is an affront to the integrity of our judicial system, which should never be exploited for political gain. Respect the democratic process that led to Justice Protasiewicz’s appointment and the rule of law. Do not impeach, vote to remove, or take any other action as my elected representative to legitimize this abuse of power.
