Thank you for your work in our shared district. As a constituent in your district, I'm asking you to support HB 667 which would establish a licensure for music therapy in the state of Texas to protect the public and ensure the highest standard of clinical care for the most vulnerable Texans among us.
Many of your constituents currently benefit from music therapy services. With over 600 music therapists in Texas providing a variety of services in facilities such as nursing homes, public and private schools, hospitals, hospice organizations, group homes, pre-schools, outpatient clinics and adult day programs, music therapy addresses a variety of goals.
Please support HB 667 to establish a license for music therapists and increase access to music therapy services for all Texans.
