Impeach Donald Trump and Invoke the 25th Amendment

January 6th, 2021 is a day that will live in infamy. We witnessed an American president intentionally encourage a violent group of supporters to assault our nation's Capitol buildings in an attempt to overthrow the results of a decisive and fair election. These acts are nothing short of an insurrection against the democratic process Americans such as myself hold dear. The fact that these acts were encouraged by a President unwilling the accept the results of an election he did not win is discouraging and disturbing. Donald Trump has shown little to no willingness to discourage his supporters from these violent acts, and has continued to spread the narrative that an election he did not win was stolen from him, constantly citing debunked and false information as evidence. Donald Trump must be held accountable for his actions. It is not simply enough that the attackers on our nation's capitol yesterday be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law; Donald Trump must not be allowed to finish his term as President, and should not be allowed to run for office again. I am requesting your support to impeach the President for his actions to ensure that he does not have the opportunity to cause any further damage to our nation's highest office. I am also requesting that the 25th amendment of the United States Constitution be invoked to ensure that he is removed from office and is not allowed to complete his term. He is a danger to America as we know it, and he is unwilling to take any action that does not personally benefit his ego or his bank account. America is too important to fall at the knees of this man and the supporters he has been willing to mobilize. Please do the right thing and help stop him before he can cause any more damage to our democracy.
