Protect your authority

The president is not a king. So many of the things he is doing, the things he is allowing others to do in his name, are beyond their and his authority to do. confirmation. He cannot control money that Congress has authorized. He cannot break contracts the government has already entered into. He cannot appoint people without He cannot fire people who have been protected by law and by Congress. OPM cannot offer buyouts to employees. You are allowing this. You are allowing the circumvention of your own authority. There are limits to a president's power. You are intended to be one of the checks on the execu tive branch and you are moving too slowly. Perhaps you thought that this president was going to help you do the things you wanted to do. These are not things I as your constituent want for our onc e great country. These are not things that will make us great again. You know that there are things that are being done that should not stand. You as our elected officials must stand up and be heard. You cannot wait until you lose all power because you let the executive branch take it and said and did nothing. You must act now to protect our democracy, our country, and our people.
