Governor—Stand Up Against Trump’s Military Overreach!

I am writing to you not as a politician or activist, but as an ordinary American terrified by what I am seeing. Donald Trump’s use of the military in Washington, D.C. is unconstitutional, dangerous, and eerily similar to the authoritarian tactics used in Germany in the 1930s.
This is not normal. This is not democracy. Turning our armed forces on our own people is a betrayal of everything this country is supposed to stand for. The citizens of this state—and the entire United States—must never be treated as enemies to be subdued.
History tells us exactly where this path leads: leaders who cling to power by using force against their own citizens destroy freedom and dismantle democratic institutions. We cannot let that happen here—not on our watch, and not in our time.
Governor, I am begging you to:
1. Speak out publicly against the use of military force on civilians anywhere in America.
2. Declare clearly that our state will protect the right to protest and the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution.
3. Stand with other governors to block and resist any unconstitutional orders that threaten our people’s rights.
Right now, state leaders are our last defense against the abuse of federal power. Please use your position and your voice to defend our democracy.
The time for action is now. History will remember who stood up and who stayed silent. Please—be one of the leaders who stood.
