Support EPA Employees Declaration of Dissent - EPA Must Do Its Job
76 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!
I’m writing to urge you support for the declaration of dissent signed by over 170 EPA employees, it’s a powerful statement calling for the agency to return to its core mission of protecting human health and the environment.
This declaration comes in the wake of the Bethesda Declaration by National Institutes of Health employees, and they are both in the right.
These dedicated public servants are rightly concerned that harmful deregulation, disregard for scientific expertise, and a focus on benefiting polluters under the current administration undermine the EPA's vital work.
The EPA’s alleged leadership are doing industry’s bidding, and harming short term and long term health of every American with the many rollbacks and rules changes. It’s even questionable whether they are legal in many cases.
With their careers are on the line they are still courageously speaking out to safeguard the nation's air, water, and vulnerable communities from further damage.
We must heed their call and demand that the EPA be empowered to uphold science-based policies and environmental protections for all Americans.
Allowing short-term industrial interests to erode DECADES of progress would be a dangerous mistake with far-reaching consequences.
I urge you to take immediate action supporting these employees and ensuring the EPA can fulfill its purpose without political interference. Thank you.
