An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Oppose migrant detainment at Guantanamo Bay, uphold human rights

9 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

President Trump's directive to prepare migrant housing at Guantanamo Bay is deeply concerning and antithetical to American values. Detaining migrants, including those accused of crimes, at the infamous Guantanamo facility designed for enemy combatants is an unconscionable violation of human rights. This draconian policy perpetuates dehumanizing treatment and contravenes international laws protecting refugees. I urge you to vocally oppose this appalling order and work to uphold the human dignity of all people, regardless of immigration status. Guantanamo has been a moral stain on America for too long - we must not allow it to become a brutal detention camp for migrants as well. Stand firm against such cruelty and preserve America's founding ideals of freedom and justice.
