An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Rescind Unilateral Override of Congressional Interior Budget Oversight

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Secretary Burgum must appear before Congress to provide a full explanation and justification for his unilateral decision to put DOGE, a non-congressionally approved entity run by staffers, in charge of Department of the Interior budget cuts. Circumventing congressional oversight in this manner raises serious concerns about unchecked executive overreach and the erosion of democratic accountability. The American people deserve transparency regarding consequential actions that impact public lands, natural resources, and indigenous communities under the Interior Department's purview.
