Impeach Trump & Noem, defund ICE, and block political Insurrection Act threats!

I write to you today in a state of absolute fury and fear for the future of this country. The recent actions of the Trump administration—specifically the "Operation Metro Surge" in Minnesota and similar occupations of U.S. states—have transformed a federal agency into a paramilitary force used to terror and kill innocent people on American soil. The cold-blooded murder by ICE agents—first of Renee Nicole Good, a U.S. citizen and mother, and now Alex Pretti, a U.S. citizen and VA nurse defending a woman from ICE’s unprovoked aggression—is the inevitable result of an administration that has "taken the shackles off" a rogue agency. Video evidence clearly shows these were power-crazed, unlawful executions of citizens who were simply exercising their constitutional rights. Minnesota has 400K undocumented immigrants, while FL has 1.1 million and TX has 1.8 million. This is no longer about immigration; this is about a government using state-sponsored violence to occupy areas whose politics it disagrees with, to silence its citizens and squash state’s rights to ensure peaceful protests. By allowing ICE to divert billions of dollars away from actual law enforcement—like human trafficking cases—to instead fund a "wartime recruitment" media blitz and a $170 billion deportation machine, Congress has abdicated its duty. You are currently funding an agency that operates with total impunity—masked, unrestrained, and unaccountable—in our neighborhoods. I am insisting that Congress take the following immediate actions: 1. Defund and Disband ICE: The "Enforcement and Removal Operations" (ERO) have been proven to be a threat to Constitutional freedoms and public safety. You must immediately strip all funding from this deportation force and move toward the total dissolution of the agency. 2. Impeach the architects: Congress must immediately begin impeachment proceedings against President a Trump, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, and any administration official who has authorized the use of federal agents to occupy U.S. states against the will of local governments. 3. End the Occupation: You must pass immediate legislation to prevent federal agents from being used as a domestic police force in residential areas, schools, and houses of worship — and demand Congressional approval for invocation of the Insurrection Act. If you fail to cut the "purse strings" for this administration to carry out these illegal and murderous operations, you are an accomplice to the pattern of ICE’s citizen murders and the destruction of our civil liberties. The time for "oversight" has passed; the time for total defunding and accountability is now. I expect a response detailing exactly how you plan to stop this administration’s occupation of our states.
