Trump Is Out of Control—Congress, Wake Up Before It’s Too Late

I am writing to go on the record that we, the American people, believe Donald Trump has lost it. His erratic behavior, reckless decisions, and fragile ego are driving this country toward disaster, and we are holding Congress accountable for his actions. First, he seems to have forgotten that he is the one who started this trade war with Canada and that it was HIS own trade agreement, the USMCA, that he just violated. He is now acting like he’s reacting to some foreign attack when, in reality, he is the one who broke the deal he made. Does he not remember his own policies? Second, he has completely abandoned any sense of law and order—except when it serves his personal agenda. The January 6th rioters who attacked the Capitol and tried to overthrow democracy? “Patriots.” Pardoned! But anyone who criticizes him? A “criminal.” This isn’t leadership. This is authoritarianism. Third, instead of running the country, he is hawking goods, bullying other countries and US citizens. He is obsessing over personal grievances like an unstable talk show host. The President of the United States should not be acting like a washed-up reality TV star selling merchandise and threatening just about everyone online. This is beneath the office, beneath the country, and frankly, it is dangerous. I am holding Congress—particularly the Republican Party—fully accountable for the damage he is doing. The GOP owns this. If you continue to turn a blind eye while Trump drags us into economic ruin and alienates our allies, you will be complicit. For God’s sake, wake up and do something before we find ourselves at war with no allies and an economy in free fall. Someone must step up. Someone must check on him, rein him in, or remove him. His ego is out of control, and we cannot afford to let his personal vendettas dictate national policy any longer. History is watching. Do your jobs before it’s too late.
