Here's the letter body:
Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
As constituents across the country are being told to ‘contact your elected officials’ when confronted with problems being encountered and questions being raised since the Trump administration took office, I’m taking that advice.
I have questions and concerns.
Do any of you lawyers or ex-judges have an objection to a recent statement from VP J.D. Vance that courts cannot “control the executive’s legitimate power”? Are all court decisions going forward to be suspect unless ruled in favor of ‘the executive’?
How is the Trump administration proposing to permanently displace and relocate 2M plus Palestinians against their will? And to where? Who will own Gaza when it is empty? Who will be responsible for such a decision to this? And who pays for it all?
When will we be seeing figures outlining Elon Musk’s efforts thus far to cut government spending? What has been cut from where? And how do these specific cuts cut costs without harm to our country and people?
And my biggest question…why is there so much chaos? Why aren’t actions by the Trump administration going through established procedures or proper legal avenues to achieve their goals? They have all three branches of government. Why is it not possible to achieve what they want with all the power they have?
Could it be they know that we the people don’t want the magnitude of change? We want the simple promises that were made: lower prices. Sane border control. A focus on what’s good for our people.
That’s not what we’re getting. We seem to be getting a right-wing New Order. They finally made it into the hen house. And they’re not leaving without a fight.
In any case, it’s in your hands. Constituents want answers. Trump might not be worried about reelection, but you should be.
Welcome to the trickle down.
