An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Restore full public access to Social Security Administration

26 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

These backdoor efforts to dismantle Social Security without congressional oversight or consultation are unacceptable and unconstitutional. Millions of Americans have paid into Social Security throughout their working lives and depend on these benefits in retirement. Eliminating access to Social Security through office closures, staffing cuts, and burdensome new rules undermines the fundamental promise of the program. This blatant attempt to destroy Social Security through bureaucratic strangulation rather than legislative action is an affront to the democratic process and the will of the people. I urge you to take immediate action to halt these unilateral changes by the Department of Government Efficiency and restore full public access and service to the Social Security Administration. Protecting Social Security for current and future beneficiaries must be a top priority.
