Reject & Vote NO on H.R. 1295, Egregious Power Grab Over Agencies

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you in the strongest possible terms to reject and vote NO on the latest power grab by the Republican-controlled House in the form of H.R. 1295, so-called “Reorganizing Government Act. This is not about reorganizing government, it’s about destroying it. This is deliberate and un-Constitutional action by the House Republicans and the extremists behind them. This dangerous bill that would grant the President sweeping powers to abolish federal agencies without Congressional oversight or approval. This cannot stand. This is an unprecedented attack on checks and balances that threatens the stability of our government and the vital services Americans rely on daily. Maintaining robust oversight is crucial to preventing abuse of power and safeguarding our democratic institutions. Stand firm against this brazen power grab that undermines accountability. In the face of the many, many illegal actions of the President, the Cabinet and indeed Republican members of Congress, I urge you to reject H.R. 1295 and any efforts to erode Congressional authority over executive agencies.
