I am writing to demand, in the strongest possible terms, that this Court uphold its constitutional duty and firmly reject all forms of illegal gerrymandering. Every American—regardless of party, geography, or ideology—depends on this Court to defend the most fundamental pillar of our democracy: the right of the people to choose their leaders, not the other way around.
Let me be clear: A president cannot tell states to redraw districts to benefit him politically. That is not democracy. That is not federalism. That is not constitutional governance. It is a direct assault on the principles the Court is sworn to protect. Allowing political leaders to manipulate district lines for personal or partisan gain is a betrayal of free elections, equal representation, and the basic integrity of our republic.
Americans believe in fair elections. Americans believe in honest government. Americans believe in a system where every vote matters—equally. Illegal gerrymandering violates all of this. It silences communities, distorts outcomes, erodes public trust, and places raw political ambition above the constitutional rights of the people.
You, the Justices of the Supreme Court, know the damage this causes. You know the constitutional stakes. And you know the long-term consequences of permitting any branch of government—especially the presidency—to pressure states into rigging electoral maps for political advantage.
This Court must act decisively. Strike down every attempt to gerrymander illegally. Reinforce the guarantees of equal protection. Stand firmly against political manipulation of our electoral system. The country is watching, and history will remember whether this Court defended democracy or allowed it to be bent for personal power.
Do the right thing. Protect the Constitution. Protect the vote. Protect the American people.
