Take his iPad. Put him in time out. Control Trump’s dangerous rhetoric!

In the past 75 years, the United States literacy levels have fallen. Once a world leader, we now land somewhere in the 20th positions for functional literacy- that is- the ability to read, evaluate, comprehend, validate, and speak on a particular subject. In the age of social media, this means that many undereducated folks are reading things they lack the ability to evaluate and validate. In other words, when the president posts something along the lines of “I never met Epstein,” his base followers lack the ability to evaluate that post for its factual relevance. Information that opposes that post is assumed to be fake news or unwarranted attacks from ANTIFA. For these types of people, truth in journalism is a boogeyman. Allowing Trump to manipulate them based on their own ignorance should be criminal. Trump having access to the ability to create his own news should be criminal. Someone needs to babysit POTUS. He cannot say things like “the war is over,” or “we opened the strait of Hormuz,” when it is patently untrue. It isn’t fair to his base followers, and it isn’t fair to the other half of America that has the ability and resources to refute his statements. Stand up for accuracy. Stand up for an informed public. You must silence Trump now. Impeach. Put parental controls on his iPad. I don’t care. But you must control his dangerous rhetoric immediately!
