I am asking you to support the Justice for Citizens Wrongfully Detained by ICE Act as part of a larger effort to contain the rampant abuses of DHS, CBP, and ICE. For almost two years now, the Department of Homeland Security has repeatedly said it’s not detaining U.S. citizens. It’s simply not true. This month, ProPublica revealed that more than 500 U.S. citizens have been detained in warrantless arrests during President Trump’s second administration. ICE is out of control. This bill would put pressure on agents to perform due diligence and follow the laws they’re meant to. Leash ICE.
