Condemn Trump's behavior toward President Zelenskyy and stand with Ukraine.

I am ashamed by the behavior of Trump and Vance toward President Zelenskyy yesterday, so much so that I can’t find the words to express my heartbreak and shame. Only that I have never felt so embarrassed to be an American, and after four previous years with one Trump administration and now twin months with a second term, that’s saying something. The Oval Office meeting between Trump, Vance, and President Zelenskyy of Ukraine was an embarrassing and damaging episode for America's standing in the world. President Trump's dismissive and disrespectful behavior towards Zelenskyy, a leader fighting against Russian aggression, undermined America's traditional role as a defender of democracy and human rights. Inexcusably they sided with Putin's propaganda points over the well-documented facts presented by Zelenskyy. This has severely tarnished our credibility as an ally on the world stage. This disturbing display made it abundantly clear that this administration has abandoned its commitment to upholding the liberal democratic order and now prioritizes transactional self-interest over moral leadership on the global stage. Urgent recalibration is needed to restore America's standing as a principled nation dedicated to peace through justice, not appeasement of authoritarians. The American people deserve better than having our values so brazenly disregarded in service of an "America Alone" doctrine antithetical to our founding ideals. As my elected official I expect you to condemn the actions of president Trump and Vice President Vance. Your voice needs to be heard loud and clear. * * *
