Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Just when you think that there’s hope for the country, here comes one of my Texas senators to disabuse the thought.
Of course I’m talking about Senator Cruz. Who admirably stated truth when he called the events of January 6, 2021 a terrorist insurrection.
But that’s before his evil overlord stepped in and yanked his chain. Tucker Carlson rules the world apparently. How, I still don’t know. To listen to the man for 30 seconds makes me want to rip my ears off my head.
Doesn’t anyone remember when he was just the token conservative dweeb in a bow tie who was occasionally asked to sit with the adults and discuss politics?
Now look at him. Even though a real judge has ascertained that anything he says should be obviously recognized as ‘entertainment’ by any reasonable person, your party has decided he’s the ultimate kingmaker. And he’s loving the job.
How humiliating. And humiliation was palpable when we got to watch the recent Cruz/Carlson exchange. It was the most cringe-inducing example of public shaming I can remember seeing. Well, at least since Senator Cruz decided to kiss the ring of the same man who called his wife ugly.
I don’t know how you can stand yourself. Who wants a politician that doesn’t even pretend to have a moral core? Who is capable of saying the right thing, but is even more capable of throwing the right thing under the bus depending on the effectiveness of the bullying?
It’s really just appalling. And I for one will never be able to look at Senator Cruz again without at the same time thinking of Reek.
(The commentator that came up with that GOT zinger wins the sad but true award.)
That’s quite an appellation to live with with. But you totally earned it Senator Cruz.
