Demand complete Russian withdrawal from Ukraine, severe consequences

Russia's illegal and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine is a blatant violation of international law and Ukrainian sovereignty. Allowing Putin to annex or control any part of Ukraine as part of a supposed "peace deal" would only reward his aggression and embolden future acts of aggression against other nations. Putin has proven himself utterly untrustworthy through his repeated lies, war crimes, and refusal to engage in genuine diplomacy. Any viable ceasefire or peace agreement must include the complete withdrawal of all Russian forces from every part of internationally recognized Ukrainian territory, including Crimea which was illegally annexed in 2014. Ukraine's territorial integrity must be fully restored. Furthermore, Putin cannot be allowed to simply rearm and regroup for a future invasion, so stringent security guarantees prohibiting Russian rearmament and requiring demilitarization in border regions would be essential. The world cannot allow an aggressive rogue state to achieve any of its aims through naked military force against a peaceful neighbor. Justice and international order require Putin to face severe consequences for his criminality, not concessions.
