Where Are Ukraine’s Stolen Children? Why Aren’t We Looking Anymore?

I am writing with deep concern regarding the fate of THOUSANDS OF UKRAINIAN CHILDREN who were ABDUCTED and deported by Russian forces since the invasion began. These children—many taken from occupied territories without consent—have been placed in camps, adopted into Russian families, and subjected to PROPAGANDA and efforts to erase their Ukrainian identity. The United States once funded a vital program through the Ukraine Conflict Observatory to TRACK and EXPOSE these atrocities. That effort, sadly, has now been HALTED under the Trump Administration. Researchers have lost access to satellite imagery, case data, and critical tools necessary to help locate and return these children. Where are these children now? Is the United States still committed to finding them? Do we, as a country, CONDONE kidnapping, encampment, and the systematic brainwashing of innocent minors? President Trump recently expressed interest in this issue during a call with President Zelenskiy. I urge his administration to turn that interest into ACTION. This is not just a geopolitical issue—it is a moral one. Please restore the resources necessary to RESUME TRACKING and support REUNIFICATION efforts. These children deserve their names back. Their homes. Their families.
