Create the Paternity Responsibility Act

It’s time to create the Paternal DNA Act, which would require all states with abortion bans to also require that all suspected fathers submit to DNA tests, even if against their will. If paternity is proven, the father then must pay 50% of the cost of raising the child — through graduation from college, marriage, or the age of 22? (As Social Security does.) This requirement remains in place no matter who raises the child or in what state the child is raised. Fatherhood should have decades-long consequences as well as motherhood does.
