An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Reject legislation sacrificing vulnerable for billionaires' profits

The proposed "Big Beautiful Bill" contains concerning provisions to drastically cut Medicaid funding and other vital social services. These cuts would have devastating impacts on millions of vulnerable Americans who rely on these programs for basic necessities like healthcare, food assistance, and housing support. We cannot balance the budget on the backs of society's most marginalized communities. I am unwilling to give billionaires tax cuts at the expense of our vulnerable population. Our tax dollars need to work for the people, not the people working for the wealthy. This legislation sacrifices the needy for the profits of the rich. These cuts would have devastating impacts on millions of vulnerable Americans who rely on these programs for basic necessities like healthcare, food assistance, and housing support. A strong social safety net is crucial for a just and equitable society. I strongly urge you to vote against this bill.
