You Have Supported One Year of Genocide in Gaza

The people you claim to represent have not called for genocide, yet for one year, that is exactly what you have supported in Gaza. With your backing, tens of thousands of Palestinians have been massacred. These atrocities, also spreading into Lebanon, are not only horrific but an affront to humanity. This is not in your constituents’ interests, nor is it in the interests of our country or the world. The recent disclosure of emails obtained by Reuters reveals that U.S. officials were already aware that Israel’s ongoing assault in Gaza could amount to war crimes. Despite this knowledge, you and others in Congress chose to continue funding Israel’s war machine. When this all began, you had a choice—to stand on the side of humanity, to protect Palestinian civilians from the Israeli government’s relentless bombing, and to stop the genocide that is ravaging Gaza. You chose the opposite. You chose complicity. And for what? To uphold the deadly silence that AIPAC and the pro-Israel lobby have bought? To allow the massacres of civilians to continue unchecked in Gaza, while Lebanese cities are pounded under Israeli bombs, further destabilizing the region? This is not a stance of courage or justice. This is surrender to genocide. The latest data from the Gaza healthcare crisis report highlights the unspeakable horrors inflicted upon civilians. Entire families have been wiped out. Hospitals have been obliterated. Thousands of children, the majority of whom had no part in any conflict, have been killed. These are war crimes by every legal standard, and you, through your inaction or outright support, have sanctioned these atrocities. Your support for military aid to Israel has done nothing to secure our nation’s safety, strengthen international diplomacy, or promote peace. Instead, it has tied the United States to mass murder and humanitarian disaster. What do you have to say to the countless families torn apart by the weapons your vote helped provide? What future do you think will be built on the ashes of Gaza? How do you intend to justify standing with a government that blocks humanitarian aid, creating a man-made famine? There are few among you who have stood up against these massacres, and history will judge them kindly. But for those who continue to back these war crimes, there will be no justification. The people you represent will not forget that you have chosen violence, terror, and bloodshed over peace, justice, and humanity. I urge you, once more, to end all military aid to Israel, to stop these crimes, and to stand on the right side of history before it is too late.
