An open letter to the U.S. Congress

President shouldn't be a used car salesman.

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The President has no association with or financial stake in Tesla. His comments regarding violence against Tesla facilities being considered domestic terrorism appear to be an attempt to appeal to a key supporter and technological innovator, Elon Musk. However, labeling such property crimes as "domestic terrorism" seems like an excessive overreach that could set a concerning precedent and further escalate tensions. We should condemn any unlawful destruction, but also be judicious in how we apply charged legal terminology. I urge measured rhetoric and policies that prioritize public safety while upholding constitutional rights and avoiding partisan overreactions.
