An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Single Payer Healthcare Saves $1 trillion and 114,000 lives every year - DO IT

702 so far! Help us get to 1,000 signers!

I am your constituent and I just learned that a recent Yale University Study found that if we had a single payer national health care trust, public insurance paying private providers, we would save over $1 trillion every year and more than 114,000 lives. Here is a link to the study so you can read it. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.64898/2026.07.22.26358689v1.full-text The authors computed that 62,863 lives of under and uninsured persons would be saved. Additionally, they found that 51,311 lives would be saved by reversing the cuts in H.R. 1, the so called Big Beautiful Bill. Multiple economic sensitivity analyses were performed and their analyses held up. Universal healthcare is in the interest of everyone of your constituent and it is high time we had it in the U.S. I want you to get H.R. 3069, the Medicare For All (of us) bill to a vote. We all deserve to have a healthcare system that works for all of us.
