Protect social security

Social Security is a vital earned benefit that millions of Americans have paid into over their working lives, not a fraudulent scheme. While rooting out any waste and fraud is reasonable, the evidence shows improper Social Security payments constitute less than 1% of total benefits paid. Social Security must be protected and strengthened, not attacked and destabilized through office closures and service reductions that make it harder for the elderly and disabled to access their earned benefits.
