An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect Women's Healthcare Workers and Patients Now

586 so far! Help us get to 1,000 signers!

Women are dying. That is not hyperbole — that is what happens when abortion care is criminalized and healthcare workers are left without legal protection. I need you to act immediately to shield every women's healthcare provider in this state from prosecution, harassment, and interference. Pass emergency protections now. Project 2025 is not a future threat. It is a policy blueprint being executed in real time, and its consequences are landing in emergency rooms. Doctors are refusing to treat miscarriages. Women are being airlifted across state lines in septic shock. Every day without state-level protection is another day a provider has to choose between their license and their patient's life. The Supreme Court has made clear it will not protect these patients or providers. That means this falls on you. Use every tool available — shield laws, state funding, executive action — to make this state a firewall against federal overreach. I will be watching exactly what you do next.
