Supreme Court: Trump is Defying Your Authority - Reverse The Immunity Decision

I’m writing today as a concerned citizen amongst many. I urge you in the strongest possible terms to take action to protect the integrity of our legal system against unchecked executive power, and reverse the current ruling granting the Presidency broad immunity.
This request comes In the face of increasingly lawless behavior by the current Trump Administration, its cabinet members, and unelected billionaire donors. They’re defying court authority all the way up to the Supreme Court, ignoring Congress, and carrying out all kinds of action that is likely illegal.
We're supposed to live in a country with a system of checks and balances. Right now things seem very unbalanced. Donald Trump is doing mostly what he wants to do.
As Monica Hopkins of the ACLU recently wrote:
“The Constitution does not give the President a special license to violate criminal law.”
Although some of what Trump is doing is a supercharged extension of what presidents have been doing for decades — expanding powers originally meant to be at least partially the domain of Congress, this is nothing like that.
Ignoring court orders is a completely different ballgame. Trump says one thing, and then routinely does another.
Your Supreme Court ruling last summer granting broad immunity to the president was a mistake and now it threatens the foundational principle of equal justice under the law.
While I understand that reversing such a recent precedent is unlikely in the short term, this decision undermines accountability and must be revisited by the High Court. This is not an unreasonable request to revisit and reverse your decision.
Immunity for criminal acts erodes the rule of law and is enabling the many abuses we’ve seen.
We cannot allow this ruling to stand as the new normal. The American people deserve leaders who are not above the law.
I implore you to pursue all available means to reverse this damaging precedent and restore a proper system of checks and balances on presidential authority. Our democracy depends on it.
