An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Remove the Ban on AI Regulation!

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am writing to demand that the language in your atrocious budget resolution bill seeking to ban any regulation of AI for 10 years be removed. This language was introduced Sunday night by Rep. Brett Guthrie of Kentucky and can be found in TITLE IV-ENERGY AND COMMERCE (Part II: Al section, (c) moratorium. This must be removed. States must have the power to regulate AI. AI is dangerous. It kills creativity, it steals from copyrighted works of art and literature, and it further poisons our public discourse with deepfakes, misinformation, and more. States MUST have the right to regulate AI to protect their residents. I demand that you stand against this. Remove this language. Do your job!
