Before the world, at one of the most important NATO summits in recent history, President Trump again turned the United States into an international embarrassment.
He referred to Iran as the “Islamic Republic of Japan.” He mistakenly called President Zelenskyy “President Putin” while standing beside him. He lashed out at Spain with reckless trade threats that undermine relationships with one of our NATO allies instead of strengthening the alliance. These are not isolated incidents. They are part of a disturbing pattern of confusion, impulsiveness, and behavior unbecoming of the office of President.
Every time he steps behind a microphone, America’s credibility suffers. Our allies are left questioning whether they can rely on us. Our adversaries see weakness, chaos, and instability.
This is not about political parties. It is about competence. It is about whether the President of the United States can accurately identify our allies and adversaries, conduct diplomacy responsibly, and represent our nation with the seriousness the office demands.
Congress has a constitutional duty to provide oversight of the Executive Branch. Silence in the face of repeated public failures is not oversight—it is surrender.
When is enough enough?
How many more international embarrassments must Americans endure before Congress is willing to say what millions already know? A president who cannot consistently demonstrate sound judgment, command of basic facts, and the discipline required to lead the free world is unfit to serve.
History will remember who defended our Constitution, our alliances, and America’s standing in the world—and who chose to look the other way.
Do your job. Put country before party. The American people deserve leadership worthy of the office and a Congress with the courage to hold a failing president accountable.
