Don’t Gerrymander Texas!

As your constituent, I am writing to express my deep concern about the possible redistricting of our voting districts in Texas. Any plan that unfairly redraws district lines to benefit one political party or dilute the voting power of certain communities is not only undemocratic—it is a blatant act of gerrymandering that harms Texans.
Gerrymandering undermines the foundational principle of fair representation. When voting districts are manipulated for partisan advantage, it silences the voices of everyday Texans—especially communities of color, young voters, and working families. Our votes should carry equal weight, no matter where we live or who we vote for.
Texas is one of the most diverse and fastest-growing states in the nation. Instead of drawing maps that reflect that reality, proposed redistricting plans too often carve up neighborhoods, split communities of interest, and entrench power by design—not by the will of the people.
I urge you to stand against any redistricting effort that prioritizes partisan gain over fair representation. The people of Texas deserve maps that are drawn transparently, involve public input, and protect our right to choose our leaders—not the other way around.
Gerrymandering is a threat to our democracy and a direct attack on Texans’ political power. Please commit to opposing any plan that rigs the system and instead fight for a redistricting process that honors the integrity of every Texan’s vote.
