And while Americans are still trying to figure out what stablecoins are, House Republicans are lining up a second scam: the so-called CLARITY Act—rightly dubbed the CALAMITY Act by Rep. Maxine Waters. Far from clarifying anything, it creates regulatory loopholes, weakens enforcement, and threatens another FTX-style collapse that could devastate the economy and threaten national security. Crypto super PACs have already spent over $265 million to buy influence in Washington.
