An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Midnight Posts, MAGA Paranoia, and Nuclear Codes—Do Something

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

At what point do we stop pretending this is normal? The President of the United States stood on the stage at West Point and turned a military graduation into a one-man pity party. He ranted about drag queens, DEI, “trophy wives,” and stealth planes that he still doesn’t understand. It was weird, self-indulgent, and deeply embarrassing. And then—because apparently humiliation fuels him—he logged onto social media in the middle of the night to attack Harvard. Here’s what he posted while the rest of us were trying to sleep: “Why isn’t Harvard saying that almost 31% of their students are from FOREIGN LANDS, and yet those countries, some not at all friendly to the United States, pay NOTHING toward their student’s education, nor do they ever intend to. Nobody told us that! We want to know who those foreign students are, a reasonable request since we give Harvard BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, but Harvard isn’t exactly forthcoming. We want those names and countries. Harvard has $52,000,000, use it, and stop asking for the Federal Government to continue GRANTING money to you!” Read it again. That’s not presidential. That’s a 1 am rage-text from your unstable uncle who just discovered Wikipedia and thinks he’s cracking a conspiracy. Let’s reality-check: • Harvard publishes student origin data on its website. • International students pay their own way, often full tuition. • Federal money? It’s awarded through a competitive process for medical, scientific, and national research—not for “woke indoctrination.” • Demanding a list of students by country? That’s McCarthyism in MAGA cosplay—and a violation of federal privacy law (FERPA). This man is spiraling. He’s obsessed with enemies. He’s seeing threats in college rosters. He’s confusing billion-dollar endowments with fifty-two million in Monopoly cash. And he has access to the nuclear launch codes? Have you lost your minds? This isn’t eccentricity. It’s a warning sign with sirens blazing. The man who once called himself a “very stable genius” is now live-posting propaganda at midnight like a teenage dictator in a gold-plated bathrobe. Congress—you’ve enabled this long enough. Do your job before the next post isn’t about Harvard, but about war.
