Today I take pen in hand to write again in favor of a renewed effort to set higher goals for emissions reductions, such as that suggested in AB 2133, that recently failed to garner the votes needed in our state Assembly. Every fraction of a degree of warming means more heatwaves, loss of wildlife and precious forest resources, imperils health, and can have a huge effect on our economy. We must set our sights higher. The cost is not an issue. A Livable World is not a political statement, it's a survival instinct. Please redraft or re-introduce something like AB 2133 in the next legislative session. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your service to our district, California, and yes the whole US.
