Maintain UNRWA support for Palestinian refugees' rights

Oppose H.R. 7122 and continue support for UNWRA. The United States should maintain its support and financial contributions to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). As the primary UN agency responsible for providing vital services like education, healthcare, and emergency aid to millions of Palestinian refugees, UNRWA plays a crucial role in promoting regional stability and upholding the rights of a vulnerable population. Defunding or withdrawing support from UNRWA would exacerbate an already dire humanitarian crisis and undermine efforts towards a just and lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It is a moral imperative to ensure UNRWA has the resources necessary to continue its life-saving operations and provide a sense of dignity to those displaced by decades of conflict.
