Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Why is an unelected foreign-born billionaire now the sole power determining what is and is not wasteful spending by the U.S. government?
This now designated ‘special government employee’ and his band of 6 DOGE engineers aged 19-24 have in the space of a week:
Taken control of all U.S. payments systems
From taking over the Treasury they moved on to USAID and effectively shut it down
They took over the GSA and sent out emails ordering the ending of leases on federal buildings. The person heading this effort is an X employee
They have accessed the systems of the SBA
They have begun digging into internal data at the Dept. of Education to begin dismantling it prior to a Trump EO intending to shut it down completely
And they’ve overtly threatened the entire civil service to leave now or their futures can’t be guaranteed
This is basically a team of hackers who have been allowed access to the entire high-security apparatus of the U.S. government. Personal information for millions of citizens. Levers of government spending. The power to kill an agency at whim. Based on the opinion of one man. A man with no elected office.
On an X livestream last night, Musk said of his destruction of the federal government: “If it’s not possible now, it will never be possible. This is our shot, This is the best hand of cards we’re ever going to have. If we don’t take advantage of this best hand of cards, it’s never going to happen.”
Will you, our elected officials, permit a private citizen to override the will of Congress and destroy the U.S. Constitution?
Will you use the power you have to bring about change under our current system? Or will you be willing to cede your power, the safety and security of the country, and completely subvert the wishes of the American people to one man? One man not the president?
This is deadly serious. We want to know what you will do to prevent the coup we are all watching before our eyes.
