Imploding seems too mild a word for what we’re watching your GOP do. Y’all sure do know how to grab headlines. Too bad they’re never good.
Ben Sasse. Finally deciding to speak up again. I know he tried for a while early on but eventually got slapped back into line. I somehow get the feeling he might regret his vote on impeachment.
But his best observation, that Mr. Trump would succeed in turning America more liberal if he were elected...no one needed a crystal ball to figure that out, but it definitely worked.
And Chris Christie...
Everything Mr. Trump touches goes the opposite way intended. Everything.
He’s inept y’all. The only thing he knows how to do, and he does it so well, is to keep our eyes glued on him. But I’m pretty sure that’s not a good governing strategy.
He may have served as some sort of useful idiot for your party, but he’s become way more detrimental to you and yours than whatever benefit you got from him.
Now I’m watching the old folks in Florida changing their minds about him big time. They, like us, know he’s a fraud. And they are dying because of it.
Just a few more weeks of this national embarrassment. Lord help us survive it all.
P.S. Now I’m watching Mr. Trump diss Dr. Fauci. And lying about masks. Good plan.
