Oppose Border Wall Construction in Big Bend Region

I'm asking you to publicly oppose the planned 172-mile border wall system in the Big Bend region and demand full transparency from CBP about their plans for this area. CBP quietly changed their map designation from "planned border barrier" to "detection technology" for portions of Big Bend, but they've provided zero public explanation. A 172-mile wall system is still shown on their map, threatening Big Bend Ranch State Park, Chinati Mountains State Natural Area, the Camino del Rio, and border towns including Presidio, Redford, Ruidosa, and Candelaria. Contractors remain active with requests for large-scale man camps and staging grounds still pending. CBP has waived 28 federal laws for this project, and $4.5 billion in contracts have been allocated for southwest border construction, including a recent $2 billion steel contract. This wall would destroy indigenous land inhabited for thousands of years, block public access to the Rio Grande, and bulldoze private farms and ranches. Texas public land deserves protection, not destruction without environmental review or due process. I need you to advocate for restoring the 28 waived federal statutes, demand clear statements from CBP about what "detection technology" actually means, and push for data-driven border security that doesn't sacrifice Big Bend.
