I am writing to demand immediate oversight and decisive action regarding President Trump’s apparent financial self-dealing connected to the so-called “Board of Peace.”
The American presidency is a public trust — not a business opportunity, not a branding vehicle, and certainly not a mechanism for personal enrichment. Any arrangement that enables a sitting president to channel influence, taxpayer resources, or government credibility into ventures that benefit his own finances represents a profound breach of ethical responsibility.
If public funds, federal partnerships, or taxpayer-supported assets are being used — directly or indirectly — to line the President’s pockets, this is not merely questionable conduct. It is fiscally reckless, ethically corrosive, and damaging to public confidence in our government.
Congress has both the authority and the obligation to:
• Investigate these financial arrangements transparently
• Enforce ethics and conflict-of-interest safeguards
• Halt any misuse of taxpayer resources
• Protect the integrity of public office
Failure to act signals tolerance of corruption and abandonment of Congress’s constitutional duty to provide oversight of the executive branch.
No president — regardless of party — should be permitted to profit from power at the expense of the American people.
I urge you to act swiftly, publicly, and without hesitation.
