An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Secure Voting Access for MLK Day

286 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!

I’m writing you today to call for immediate action to end the Senate filibuster; to pass the Freedom to Vote Act, and to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. After our long history of blocking voting rights due to gender, race, and class; in addition to recent state legislation designed to block voting access for Black, brown, disabled, and citizens with low-incomes; we would be hypocrites to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day this January without securing voting rights and access for citizens.
