Well that’s done. Trump has invaded and captured a sovereign country’s president. And bringing him and his wife back to America like trophies.
What next y’all? Did you know this was going to happen? Did you approve of these actions in the name of America? Are the oil takers lined up and waiting to sail for Venezuela?
Because the world knows that Trump’s claim to be knocking over a narco-terrorist state that has exported vast quantities of opiates to the US, and killed hundreds of thousands of our citizens, is nonsense. Opiates get into the US from Mexico, not Venezuela.
As an excuse for regime change and invasion, it is as false as the claims that Saddam Hussein was making a nuclear weapon. And we see what happened in Iraq after Saddam. Decades of pain and murder, terror and mayhem. And the birth of Isis.
Now, Trump has attacked a neighbour without any international support. Just like his great hero and friend, Vladimir Putin. Explain, if you can, the difference?
Since returning to office a year ago, Nobel Peace Prize-seeking Trump has bombed Yemen, carelessly killing numerous civilians after loosening rules of engagement. Bombed Nigeria, to counter-productive effect. Bombed Somalia, Iraq and Syria. And bombed Iran, where he mendaciously exaggerated the success of US strikes on nuclear facilities. He even refuses to rule out bombing Greenland, a sovereign territory of NATO ally Denmark.
The power he now holds has become a tool of anarchy. It’s apparent the businessman in him sees the world in three spheres. The western hemisphere is his to control. Russia can have Europe. China the rest.
The American people are just along for the ride. As is our Congress.
No one will stop him. We’ll never ever get resolution on the Epstein files. And those responsible for every atrocity we keep seeing will likely escape consequences.
Nice start to the New Year.
