Why is the U.S. acting as a sanctuary for Epstein predators?

Government leaders, wealthy socialites, elected officials, and various other perpetrators are being arrested around the globe for their predatory actions on Epstein Island. However, here in the United States, our government does nothing. If the administration maintains that we cannot provide sanctuary to innocent undocumented everyday residents in the name of safety and national security, why are we allowing these actual criminals to hide in plain sight? Release the files and detain the predators!
