Protect Californians from ICE NOW

Without strong state-level resistance, the harm will be immediate and far-reaching. I urge you to act swiftly to strengthen California’s sanctuary protections, issue unambiguous guidance to all law enforcement and public agencies, and pursue every available legal avenue to challenge and block implementation of this directive. In addition, safeguards must be reinforced to ensure that transgender individuals can safely access healthcare, housing, education, and public services without fear. This is a critical moment that demands leadership and accountability. Californians deserve to know how their elected officials will respond to policies that threaten fundamental rights and human dignity.
