I am asking my elected officials if they will join and support MS Senator Roger Wicker in his call for an investigation into SignalGate?
Will you condemn these reckless actions by our security leaders that put American pilots’ lives in danger?
Will you demand the same accountability as in the past for actions not nearly as egregious as this?
And I don’t mean firing an IT person for a scapegoat and calling it done.
We’re exhausted by the constant assault on every aspect of our lives. But the assault is also creating an angry backlash to most everything we see happening, caused by a perpetually aggrieved old man with the power of the EO. With minions installed in every agency. Who seem to have taken a loyalty oath to a man and not their country.
It took a while but we the people are pushing back. The right-wing fringe that now controls government has had years to plan their attack. It’s taken awhile for the agenda Trump is executing to trickle down into the nation’s consciousness.
But it is.
The MAGA element thinks that the only issue with them not already being in complete control of everything in the country is the result of a nationwide liberal conspiracy. A conspiracy that could be defeated if they were only in control. For the good of the country.
So Project 2025 has seized the moment. But the real problem is that we do not want a vision of America that is convinced that a ruling class is the only solution. Only 4% of Americans ever considered this ideology a good idea.
And now that we see it in actual action, I expect even that small percentage has gone down.
The courts are holding.
The law firms are fighting back.
Universities are figuring out how to present a united front against attacks.
States’ leadership is speaking out.
Immigration officials and leaders around the world are watching closely as we abuse the office of the Presidency against any and all, legal and undocumented, residents.
Our once friends and neighbors around the world are making plans that do not include America as a leader.
And Vladimir Putin is smiling like the Cheshire Cat.
As Trump and Musk and the GOP Congress decimate the country in the name of DEI, of efficiency, of rooting out fraud, of deporting America’s enemies with a dusty war power, using antisemitism to throw people out of the country, using gender discrimination to harass trans visitors to our shores, destroying our freedom to speak without fear of retribution, killing voting rights, destroying the civil service, cutting off financial aid to everything and everyone, remember that this is the world you voted for.
And as we read more and more about citizens mad as hell and not taking it anymore, you’ll get to see the true definition of WOKE.
I refuse to believe that a person like Donald Trump can destroy the American people.
