Investigate the Heritage Foundation and Restore Democracy

The Heritage Foundation has evolved from an ideological think tank into a key player in the Trump administration's efforts to centralize power and undermine democratic norms. Through Project 2025, Heritage is actively involved in federal transition planning, developing strategies to purge career civil servants, weaken regulatory protections, and expand presidential authority. Under Heritage’s influence, the Trump administration is prioritizing political loyalty over impartiality in the Department of Justice, undermining civil rights enforcement, and dismantling agencies that protect the environment, workers, and public health. This poses a significant threat to the rule of law and democratic governance. Congress should investigate Heritage’s role in federal staffing and policy, and the IRS needs to assess its tax-exempt status for potential partisan misuse. Elected officials committed to constitutional government must denounce Heritage’s influence. We are witnessing an authoritarian shift—action is imperative.
