The VA secretary, Doug Collins, has signaled his intension to fire a staggering 80,000 employees from the VA, reducing the staffing to where it was before the PACT act added 1,000,000 veterans to care through the system. The VA cannot fulfill its mission, nor the debt owned by a "grateful" nation to those of us who served. Are you going to stand by in silent acquiescence to this disgraceful treatment of America's veterans? We will not "stand back and stand by." We will act. Will you? Or will you risk reelection by angering the many South Dakota veterans?
