Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
Looks like the GOP effort to reimpose the 19th century on the 21st is running into the reality that is now America. Multi-cultural. Educated. Believing in their civil rights. And showing up to prove it.
I’m talking about voter suppression efforts ongoing in a lot of ‘red’ states. Since it’s become obvious Republicans can’t win elections on the merits, the rules must be changed. But it’s proving difficult. Businesses are now speaking out. They realize what side their bread is buttered on. And they are bowing, willing or not, to that reality. Nowadays, we tend to like businesses that support the people they serve.
You may think you’re doing the same. But you are wrong. And your suppression efforts against an American’s most cherished right to vote will fail.
Your efforts, based on the Big Lie of voter and election fraud, will fail.
And American democracy, and the people who believe in it, will win.
Y’all really need to look at the reality around you. The majority of Americans think your efforts are wrong.
It’s absolutely not a winning strategy.
