I am writing to urge you to support Senate Bill 222, introduced by Democratic state Senator Scott Wiener. This would allow California residents impacted by wildfires and other climate-related disasters to sue oil companies. Oil companies have known about the climate impacts for decades and lied about it. They have significantly contributed to these awful impacts and should be held accountable.
