An open letter to the U.S. Congress

DEMAND THE RELEASE OF LIAM CONEJO RAMOS

41 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

Congress must demand the release of Liam Conejo Ramos and impose restrictions upon ICE. The current administration has publicly declared that they are deporting "the worst of the worst" to keep our country safe. A 5 year old innocent child arriving home from preschool is not a threat to public safety. New guidelines enforcing the behavior of ICE must be created to limit overreach. The current behavior has curtailed freedom of speech, detained lawful citizens, and spread fear throughout our country. You must stop enforcement in protected areas like hospitals, schools, churches, and homeless shelters. Warrants must be required to ensure that citizens are not being detained without just cause and to ensure enforcement is focused on deporting criminals who are here illegally. Above all, guidelines need to be followed to avoid traumatizing innocent children like Liam. Locking children up is simply about cruelty, not keeping our country safe. Demand the release of Liam and his father immediately.
