I am furious that Congress is even considering the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.” Slashing Medicare, Medicaid, and SNAP to pad the pockets of the richest while crushing our seniors, people with disabilities, and families living paycheck-to-paycheck is nothing short of moral bankruptcy.
How dare Congress claim this is “responsible budgeting” when it raises the deficit by over $2 trillion and simultaneously rips away health care and nutrition from millions? Medicare cuts of up to $500 billion will leave our grandparents choosing between medicine and rent. Nearly $1 trillion carved from Medicaid and SNAP will starve children and kick vulnerable adults off the very lifelines they depend on.
This is not policy—it’s a war on the poor, the disabled, and the elderly. It is a direct assault on everything this country claims to stand for: compassion, fairness, and common decency. Congress cannot talk about “fiscal responsibility” while gutting the basic needs of its constituents.
If there is even a shred of integrity left, this bill must be voted NO. Congress must stand up and say “enough” to this cruel, reckless boondoggle that enriches the ultra-wealthy at the expense of our neighbors’ lives. History will judge Congress—and so will I.
Kill this bill. Protect our communities. Show the courage this moment demands.
